Husqvarna Motorcycles made its India debut in the year 2020 with its two quarter-litre motorcycles, namely the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 is a street scrambler while the new Vitpilen 250 is a modern-day cafe-racer. As you all might already be knowing that the Huskies share their underpinnings and the powertrains with their KTM counterparts. We already have the KTM Duke 125 on sale in India and now Husqvarna is planning to launch the new Svartpilen 125 in Europe. So, will the new Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 BS6 come to India?
The all-new Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 will soon go on sale in the European markets. According to the latest international media reports, this affordable street scrambler will be launched in the European markets next month, i.e. in February 2021. As we have already mentioned before that all the Huskies share the underpinnings and the powertrains with their KTM counterparts and the same is the case here too. The upcoming Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 will borrow its powertrain from the KTM Duke 125. However, in terms of the overall aesthetic appeal, the upcoming Svartpilen 125 will look almost identical to the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 which is currently on sale in India.

The new upcoming Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 will get a funky round LED headlamp with round LED DRLs and a quirky rear-end with a LED taillamp. The motorcycle will also get all-LED indicators. The new Svartpilen 125 will sport a rugged design theme with a tall-raised handlebar that will give it an upright stance. As already mentioned before, the all-new upcoming 2021 Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 will be powered by the same engine that also powers the KTM Duke 125. This means that it will get a new BS6-compliant 124.7cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This BS6 motor in the Svartpilen 125 will churn out around 14.5 PS of maximum power at 9250 RPM and 12 Nm of peak torque at 8000 RPM. The engine will come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

For suspension duties, the Svartpilen 125 will get USD or upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. The braking duties on the motorcycle will be performed by large disc brakes at either end, and it will get a single-channel ABS too. This new motorcycle will ride on 17-inch wheels that will be shod with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR rubbers. The new Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 will be launched in Europe soon and we strongly believe Husqvarna might launch this motorcycle in India in the near future.
