Husqvarna Motorcycles is a Swedish two-wheeler manufacturer that comes under the umbrella of KTM AG. Husqvarna made its India debut early last year with its two quarter-litre motorcycles, namely the Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250. Now, the company has started the production of the new Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 at Bajaj Auto's Chakan plant in Pune for global markets. So, is the new Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 launching in India soon? Let's find out.
So, as you all know Bajaj Auto launched the quarter-litre Huskies in India in February 2020. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 is a street scrambler while the Vitpilen 250 is a modern-day cafe-racer. These two motorcycles have been well received by Indian buyers. However, now it's been more than a year and the company has not launched any new motorcycle in the country. The company was planning to launch the Husqvarna 401s in India but that plan has been dropped. Now, the production of the Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 has commenced at Pune and we believe it should be launched in India.

That's because the 125cc sports motorcycles are becoming very popular in India as they are very affordable compared to a higher displacement bike. We already have the Duke 125 and RC 125 in India which are performing well for the company and the Svartpilen 125 if launched, might also sell in good numbers. However, as of now, there is no official confirmation about its India launch. The Svartpilen 125 is an entry-level street scrambler and it shares its powertrain with the Duke 125. This means that it is powered by a BS6 compliant 124.7cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine.
