Skoda Vision IN was showcased in the Indian markets at the 2020 Auto Expo. Needless to say, it grabbed quite a few eyeballs because of its exquisite design language and the sharp and crisp creases. This one will be based on the latest MQB AO IN platform which will lower down the costs drastically.

Clearly, to make your position right in a price-sensitive Indian market, you have to keep the costs low and offer in more features. Yes, coming to the features which is the most loved thing in our shores. It gets a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system which hosts modern connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, it is still not sure whether the production unit will carry the same screen size or not.
It further gets a three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and a digital driver's display. The interiors of the display unit present at the Auto Expo was quite fruity but then come the production-spec unit, it will either get a dual-tone beige and black scheme or all-black interiors.
Some of the features which we are quite sure of are LED headlights and taillights, black cladding on the lower body, roof rails, alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof. The latter is still an expected feature. It might also get dual-zone climate control.

Under the hood, this one is expected to carry a 1.0L turbo engine or a more powerful 1.5L TSI motor. The latter which also comes in the Volkswagen T-Roc generates a 150 bhp with a peak torque of 250 Nm. It gets mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox and is also available with paddle shifters. The former and 1.0L TSI makes 109 bhp with a peak torque of 175 Nm. This engine might be offered on the starting variants of the Vision IN to keep the costs in check.
Since it will be kept in the most affordable mid-size SUV segment, we expect it to be priced ar Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. With this, it will compete with Kia Seltos, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks and Hyundai Creta.
