Now, the company has teased the Hyundai Ioniq 5 winter testing in the Arctic. But whats special now? Well, It is the sportier N-Line of the Hyundai arsenal, that is a first in its electric car range.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N-Line: A First From Hyundai
This is the first time Hyundai is introducing a performance line on its electric SUV. Till now, the N-Line has been a constant option with all the ICE powered cars. What this offers more than the regular variants is the sheer driving experience. It is a more powerful and torquey engine that is focused on the sporty feeling.
The Ioniq 5 N is being tested at the Hyundai Mobis proving ground in Arjeplog, Sweden, at temperatures going north of -30 degrees. The winter testing is focused on low traction surfaces and the electric powertrains sustainability to extreme sub-zero conditions. With a bump in the power output, the Ioniq 5 N is expected to have a smaller driving range than the standard version. But the battery capacity and power figures are still unknown, so this can only be guessed as for now.
Whats Additional With The N-Line?
With the N-Line badging, the Ioniq 5 is getting one N Drift Optimizer. What this feature does is that it integrates the front and rear axle torque distribution, suspension stiffness, steering effort, and the e-LSD, thus providing a dedicated drift mode. The teaser video also showed the Ioniq 5 N drifting alongside the i20N WRC Rally car on icy surface.
VERDICT- This Hyundai Ioniq 5 N-Line is slated to make its global debut somewhere in July this year, but will be available for sale sometime next year. You can expect some more teasers with more details in the road to its global unveil.
