Hyundai Verna Styling
The exterior is a complete departure from the outgoing model. The only way you will realize that this is a Verna is by the badging at the rear. This is a fresh styling with the LED headlamps flushed into the grille with a beamed LED accent hugging the creased bonnet at the front. The side mirrors are laden with indicators and the bumper houses the ADAS sensors. It has the longest wheelbase in the segment, which offers more space inside the cabin.
There are seven color options to choose from, namely Atlas White, Typhoon Silver, Fiery Red, Tellurian Brown, Starry Night, Titan Grey, and Abyss Black. The Naturally Aspirated variants get a black and white interior, whereas the Turbo Petrol Variants get black interiors with red accents all around the cabin, which we have already notified you about. Hyundai Verna: Engine And Transmission
With the induction of the next-gen Verna, the sedan space bids adieu to diesel engines for good. No sedan in this segment now offers the oil burner anymore. One is a 1.5L Naturally aspirated petrol unit producing 115 PS of power with 143 Nm of peak torque. The claimed ARAI mileage is 19.60 for the IVT and 18.60 km for the Manual transmission.
The other option is a powerful 1.5L Turbo-petrol engine, churning out 253 Nm of torque with a max output of 160 PS. The unit comes mated to both a 6-speed Manual and a 7-speed DCT. This crowns it the most powerful sedan in the segment and makes up for a thrilling title to don. Courtesy of this, it can clock 0-100 km/hr in just 8.1 seconds. The mileage is surprisingly greater than the NA petrol at 20.60 kmpl for the DCT and 20.00 kmpl for the MT gearbox.
