Ashok Leyland is one of India's biggest commercial vehicle manufacturers. The Hinduja Group's flagship company has unveiled India's first automated manual transmission (AMT) tipper AVTR 2825. With its acceleration-based gear shifting, the new Ashok Leyland AVTR 2825 with 9 speed AMT can run in several transmission modes (automatic and manual) and achieve exceptional fuel efficiency.

The AVTR 2825 has an automatic economy and power mode for improved fuel efficiency, variable upshifts and downshift RPMs, hill-start assist to avoid roll-back, and forward and reverse maneuvering for traffic and parking assistance. It also boasts a rock-free mode to keep the wheels from spinning, as well as engine over-run protection and auto neutral, which is activated when the engine has been idle for two minutes.
With features like rock-free mode and integrated Hill-Start-Aid, AMT's ingenious technology in the Ashok Leyland AVTR 2825 tipper makes driving easier. This technological breakthrough aids in minimising driver fatigue and tension while operating in the difficult environment that tippers face.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Head - MHCV, Ashok Leyland said, Tippers are the fastest-growing segment in M&HCV space and they are the driving force for the rapidly growing infrastructure needs of our country. Tippers are largely operated in rough conditions for long durations, therefore requiring them to be highly reliable and ergonomic. As a customer-centric OEM, we thus made these trucks more user-friendly and convenient while retaining robustness and reliability. Built on our philosophy of Aapki Jeet, Hamari Jeet, these new tippers will ensure ease of operation and significantly decrease fatigue for drivers. We are sure that the increased clutch and gearbox life, in addition to faster turnaround time, will enhance our customers business and profits.
