Force Gurkha Base Variant

The recently spotted test mules were painted in white color, while the front and rear bumper were painted in black colour. They retain the round LED headlamp assembly with round LED DRLs and the snorkel similar to the current variant. Moreover, the alloy wheels on the test mule were the same as the existing variant. The most noticeable change on the exterior is the removal of the spare wheel from the tailgate.

The interior of the base variant has not been seen in the recent images, but it is expected to get fewer features than the existing variant. We can expect a basic instrument console, power windows, power steering, no music system, and basic seats with fabric upholstery, among other basic features. The base variant will enable the owners to customize their vehicles to their choice.

On the engine front, the base variant will continue to get the same 2.6-litre diesel engine producing 138 bhp of power and 320 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated with a 5-speed manual transmission only. Also, the Gurkha base variant is expected to get the full 4X4 setup as standard.
