Jaguar India has announced the commencment of bookings for the I-Pace all-electric performance SUV. Jaguar announced the arrival of the I-Pace for the Indian market last year and now the launch is just around the corner. Jaguar took its own sweet time to settle things down and collaborated with Tata Power to provide charging infrastructure for the I-Pace customers.
Jaguar I-Pace is renowned in the world for its sublime looks and efficient powertrain. Among the German trio, the Birtish-made Jagaur I-Pace offers distinctiveness and a breath of fresh air. The bookings for the Jaguar I-Pace are now open in India which will be followed by deliveries by March 2021. Jaguar will offer the I-Pace with a single powertrain option and three variants - S, SE and HSE.

Powering the Jaguar I-Pace is a 90 kWh battery pack which powers twin electric motors mounted on each axle. Total power output stands at 400PS and 696 Nm of torque which translates to 0-100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds and a top whack of 200 km/h. Moreover Jaguar will also provide complimentary 5 years service package, 5 years Jaguar Roadside Assistance and 7.4 kW AC wall mounted charger in addition to the standard 8 years or 160 000 km battery warranty.

Jaguar India has join hands with Tata Power to setup the charging infrastructure for the I-Pace buyers. The owners of the I-Pace will enjoy the access of 200+ charging EZ Charge charging stations spread in 23+ cities. Tata Power is also expanding the charging station network and will market smaller cities as well. Jaguar will also offer the 7.4 kW AC wall box charger free of cost which can be placed either at your home or office. In case of emergency, the I-Pace can also be charged via the 3-pin charging socket but that would be fully charged overnight.
The looks of the Jaguar I-Pace will play the trick owing to the distinctiveness and striking design. Jaguar has also offered some good customisation options which can be accessed from the Jaguar India's configurator. Coming to the price, I-Pace will see north of 1 crore and rival the one and only premium electric SUV on sale in India - Mercedes-Benz EQC 400. More fully-electric SUVs and sedans will join the fleet in future helping in upping the EV space in the Indian market.
