Specifications of Jaguar I-Pace
Debuting in 2021, the I-Pace featured a dual motor setup with a 90 kWh battery, producing 400 PS and 696 Nm of torque. It offered a range of 410 km, as tested by several reputable media outlets. This strikingly beautiful SUV was positioned to compete with the Audi e-tron, Mercedes-Benz EQC, and BMW iX. However, one of the main reasons it struggled to keep up with the competition was that Jaguar didn't provide any updates since its launch in 2021.
Poor performance at Sales chart
The BMW iX sold 738 units in 2024, whereas the I-Pace managed only 31 units. Despite this, the I-Pace was an impressive product, offering ample space, outstanding performance, a good range, and overall practicality as an EV. Without any fanfare, Jaguar silently removed the I-Pace from its site.
On the other hand, the Jaguar F-Type, which gained a cult status over the years, has been discontinued. Initially available with V6 and V8 engines, the lineup expanded to include a convertible version. Years later, a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine was introduced, which disappointed enthusiasts.

Verdict
Indeed, it's a sad time for Jaguar, not just in India but worldwide. The company is struggling with low sales and a limited lineup of vehicles. Jaguar desperately needs a new range of EVs to compete in the market. Hopefully, in 2025, the brand will introduce multiple new options and strategically position them to attract new customers.
