Jeep India has recently implemented a price hike of up to Rs. 2 lakhs for its flagship models in the country. The price increase affects models such as the Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. Jeep currently offers four models for sale in India, which include the Compass, Meridian, Wrangler, and Grand Cherokee. The price adjustment reflects the updated pricing structure for these popular Jeep models in the Indian market.
Jeep Wrangler And Grand Cherokee Price Hike
In India, the flagship model from Jeep, the Grand Cherokee, is available for sale in a single top-spec Limited (O) variant. Following the recent price increase of Rs. 2 lakhs, the current ex-showroom price for the model stands at Rs. 80.50 lakh. The Grand Cherokee offers premium features and represents the pinnacle of the Jeep lineup in India.
Meanwhile, The Jeep Wrangler, a popular lifestyle off-roader, is available in two variants: Unlimited and Rubicon. Following a standard price increase of Rs. 1.60 lakhs, the base Unlimited variant is now priced at Rs. 60.65 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-spec Rubicon variant carries a price tag of Rs. 64.65 lakhs (ex-showroom). The value and features offered by the Wrangler, make it an enticing choice for adventure enthusiasts seeking a capable and rugged SUV experience.

Powertrain
Jeep Wrangler comes with a sole 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that churns out 268 PS power with a peak torque of 400 Nm and is paired to the ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard. On the other hand, the Jeep Grand Cherokee comes with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine making 265bhp and 400Nm, paired to an 8-speed torque converter automatic.
VERDICT- The Jeep Wrangler and the Grand Cherokee sits at the top 2 positions under Jeep's portfolio in India.
