Delhi Traffic Challans: Only Pay Half If You Follow This Condition!
To benefit from a 50% discount on Delhi traffic fines, offenses must be resolved within 90 days of the notice for existing challans or within 30 days for any new challans issued after the announcement. This provision applies to various violations, including allowing an unauthorized driver, driving without a valid license, dangerous driving, operating a vehicle while unfit, unauthorized racing, driving without insurance, and using an unregistered vehicle.
Additionally, the Delhi Govt. has granted the authority to compound traffic offenses to officers from the Delhi Traffic Police ranked Head Constable and above, as well as Assistant Traffic Inspectors (ATIs) from the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). This move is intended to enhance enforcement and streamline public transport operations, with ATIs also stationed at bus lanes during operational hours to manage real-time enforcement and ensure smooth bus operations as per the officials.
