Powered by a larger 1099cc, inline-four motor, the Versys 1100 produces 132.7bhp at 9000rpm and 112Nm of torque at 7600rpm. This is a big increase over the outgoing Versys 1000, which used to produce 118.2bhp and 102Nm.

Verdict
The Versys 1100 goes up against the BMW S 1000 XR, and it is among the first bikes built on the new 1100 platform to have been launched in India. It remains to be seen what else Kawasaki decides to bring along onto the 1100 platform.
