Multiple-Engine Options
Kia Carens is available to all kinds of buyers. It has three engine options - 1.5L petrol, 1.4L turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel. The 1.5-litre petrol is a four-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine that generates as much as 113 bhp with a peak torque of 144 Nm. This engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission only.
The most powerful of the lot, the 1.4L turbocharged petrol unit churns out as much as 138 bhp with 242 Nm of healthy torque. This unit comes mated to a 6-speed stick shift and a 7-speed DCT as an option. The oil burner produces 113bhp of power with a peak torque of 250 Nm and gets mated to a 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed torque converter unit.
