Maruti is finally bringing the updated 2022 XL6 by late April. This 6-seater premium MPV rivals Ertiga, Mahindra Marazzo and recently launched, Kia Carens. As per sources, the updated XL6 will feature a more fuel-efficient 1.5L petrol engine.

Powering the XL6 will be the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, BS6 compliant petrol motor. This motor generates as much as 103 bhp of power with a peak torque of 138 Nm. The current ARAI fuel economy sticks to 19.01 kmpl for the manual but the newer model could return better fuel efficiency figures. A 5-speed manual transmission will remain as a standard fitment, however, the age-old 4-speed AT will be replaced by a 6-speed AT.
Design-wise, there might not be too many changes but we do expect a new paint colour and bigger alloy wheels. Feature-wise, we can expect a larger 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system as we've seen in the new Baleno. Other features like Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless charging and more could follow.

Safety features on the Maruti XL6 include rear parking sensors, dual airbags at the front, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, ISOFIX child seat mounts, high-speed alert warning, electronic stability program, hill hold control, speed-sensing door lock and others.
The current XL6 is priced from Rs 10.02 lakh to Rs 11.85 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. With the introduction of new features and the 6-speed AT, the prices will definitely be higher than now.
