KIA India seems to be working on a new sub-4 metre SUV called the Clavis and the test mule of the same has been spotted again on Indian roads. KIA Clavis, has been spotted once again, and this time it has unveiled more details about the upcoming sub-4 metre SUV. The upcoming Clavis will be positioned between the KIA Sonet and Seltos and it is expected to make its debut by the end of the year or early next year. KIA Clavis Spotted - New Details Revealed
The newly spotted test mule was covered in camouflage but revealed some design details and features of the upcoming KIA compact SUV. It will boast a boxy design with KIA signature elements. The exterior will get vertically stacked LED DRLs and LED headlamps. The side profile boasts dual-tone diamond cut alloy wheels, chunky side body cladding and wheel arches. The rear features a flat tailgate with low-mounted vertical tail lamps, and the SUV will also come with roof rails.
The recently spotted test mule has also revealed some new details about the interior of the upcoming SUV. The interior was seen with an all-new two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel. The steering mounted controls were clearly visible in the pictures. Moreover, the upcoming KIA Clavis will boast auto wiper and other features.
The Clavis will get a connected screen setup for infotainment and instrument cluster on the inside similar to the one in the KIA Sonet. Also, it is expected to boast features like wireless charging, automatic climate control, digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto among other features.
KIA Clavis Engine Options
The Clavis is expected to share its powertrain options with the KIA Sonet. The Sonet currently offers a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine option. These engine options will ve available with the choice of manual and automatic transmission.

Verdict
The upcoming KIA Calvis will enter in competition with the compact SUVs like the Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch. It is expected to boast more features and more engine options but as of now it is not confirmed whether it will be launched in India or not. It's possible that the brand is testing the Clavis in India, but it could be destined for export to international markets.
