Kia's new EV9 has been unveiled globally as the brand's flagship three-row electric SUV. The global premiere of the Kia EV9 took place today, on 15th March. Kia has only unveiled the EV9 and hasn't given any information about the market launch of the e-SUV. The design of the Kia EV9 truly stands out. Also, there is a lot to discuss when it comes to the interior of the Kia EV9. Hence, here we have provided all the details about the exterior design and the interior of the new Kia EV9.
Kia EV9 Unveiled: Exterior Design
From the front, the new Kia EV9 looks broad and muscular. That's because of its width. At the same time, it also looks modern and clean because of the absence of a traditional grill and its vertically integrated headlamps & DRLs. Also, Kia EV9 gets front parking sensors and a dynamic front lower grill that opens and closes according to the air requirement of the vehicle's powertrain.
From the sides, the new Kia EV9 looks humongous. There's thick cladding on the large wheel arches and all around the e-SUV. The alloy wheels seem to be around 20 inches large and carry an EV-specific design for lower air drag. The e-SUV also gets flush-type door handles and a floating roof design with blackened A, B & C pillars.
From the rear, the Kia EV9 looks totally unique because of its vertically positioned and uniquely designed taillamps. It also gets a large spoiler at the rear. The rear of the Kia EV9 too remains clean and clutter free with the number plate area provided at the bottom of the rear bumper.
On the dimensions front, the Kia EV9 is rumored to be around 5 meters in length, around 2 meters in width, and around 3 meters in wheelbase. The actual dimensions are yet to be announced by Kia. Also, according to some media reports, Kia may offer 20-inch alloys on the lower trims of the EV9 and the higher trims may get 21-inch alloys.
Kia EV9 Unveiled: Interior
The Kia EV9 is huge from the inside. With three rows of seats and captain seats in the second row, it shines as a perfect large family SUV. Moreover, the most unique feature of this e-SUV is the swivel seats in the second row. These unique seats can be swiveled to face the rear windscreen or even the side window. It also gets electric seat adjustments for all three rows.
The Kia EV9 looks tech loaded with dual large screens in the front. One for the driver's display and one for the infotainment purpose. Also, there are minimal buttons on the dashboard of the Kia EV9. The steering wheel also gets a totally new design and the center console is now detached from the dashboard, freeing up more storage space in the front.

Verdict: As the new Kia EV9 is based on the E-GMP platform, we expect it to get a large 75-kWh to an 80-kWh battery pack. Being a large full-size three-row family SUV, the Kia EV9 may offer a range of around 500 to 600 km. Also, Kia could offer the EV9 with a single or dual electric motor setup. Although its India launch is far from confirmed, Kia might bring this new e-SUV to India after its market launch in Korea, China, North America, & Europe.
