The teaser released by the automaker suggests that the SYROS will have a boxy and SUVish design language. It is expected to be introduced as a lifestyle SUV in its segment. Adorning the brand's new "evolved Design 2.0 philosophy', the SYROS is expected to get a completely different look than other Kia products. The teaser shows a door-mounted ORVM, a flat roof and new headlamps. Also, it is expected to feature a higher ground clearance than all other Kia cars in our market.

The brand has already announced that the SYROS will be equipped with the top-notch technology. We expect the upcoming SUV to get features such as a panoramic sunroof and an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite. Other safety features will include six airbags, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system, all-wheel disc brakes and front parking sensors.

Kia SYROS: Engine

The new Kia SYROS is expected to be powered by a 1.0 litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that generates 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. For transmission, we are expecting it to offer a 6-speed manual and a dual-clutch DCT transmission. Later after the launch of the SUV, the brand will also launch its electric version which is likely to be powered by a 45 kWh battery pack, providing a range of over 400 km on a single charge.
