Kia Sonet Variants and Features Explained

Kia Motors India is now prepping up to launch its third car, after tasting success with the Seltos and Carnival. Kia will place the Sonet as a premium offering over other sub-compact SUVs. Kia has already plonked in more features in the Sonet over its cousin - Hyundai Venue. Kia is famous for its bewilder variants breakup but don't fret, we explain you all the variants and features of the Kia Sonet.

Kia Sonet HTE

Kia Sonet HTE is the base trim of the Sonet, just like in case of the Seltos. But Kia hasn't really skimped in terms of features, even in the base trim. We get heartbeat taillamps, halogen headlights, front and rear skid plates, 15-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, taillight garnish etc. Moving to interiors, we get a monochrome instrument cluster, front power windows, tilt steering, electric ORVMs, manual AC, rear AC vents and much more. Kia has given standard safety like dual airbags, ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors etc. The HTE trim is only available with 1.2L petrol MT and 1.5L diesel MT engine options.

Kia Sonet variants

The HTK trim of the Sonet brings in some good amount of features over the features of HTE. We get a 2-din infotainment system with four speakers, rear power windows, height adjust for driver's seat, remote locking, R16 styled steel wheels, sunglass holder, steering mounted controls, front and rear USB charging and front adjustable armrest. The HTK trim is also only available with 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel MT engine options.

Kia Sonet HTK+

The HTK+ trim of the Sonet brings in some technological advancements over the HTK. We get 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto, Apple Car Play, wireless screen projection and two tweeters; automatic AC, projector fog lamps, electrically-folding ORVMs, driver rearview monitor, floating roof rails, shark fin antenna, rear defogger, LED turn signals on ORVMs and chrome grille with knurling. If you opt for the 1.0 DCT, Kia also offers ESC, VSM, HAC and brake assist. The HTK+ trim is available with 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo iMT/DCT and 1.5L diesel MT/AT.

Kia Sonet HTX

Kia Sonet HTX brings in the signature features for which the Sonet is known for. We get Crown jewel LED headlights with heartbeat LED DRLs, electric sunroof, push-button start and passive entry; leatherette D-cut steering wheel, remote engine start, silver skid plates, dual-muffler exhaust design, leather-wrapped gear knob, automatic headlights, ISOFIX anchorages and cruise control. From HTX and further, the 1.2L petrol engine is not offered. The HTX trim gets 1.0L turbo iMT and 1.5L diesel MT.

Kia Sonet HTX+

The HTX+ trim of the Sonet brings in better interior features. We get 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connected features, BOSE premium 7 speakers, ventilated front seats, smart air purifier, 4.2-inch colour instrument cluster, R16 crystal cut alloy wheels, chrome outside door handles, LED sound mood lighting, tyre pressure monitoring system and more. The HTX+ trim of the Sonet is offered with 1.0L turbo iMT and 1.5L diesel MT.

Kia Sonet variants interiors

Kia Sonet GTX+

The GTX+ trim of the Sonet is the top trim and boasts of all the bells and whistles. As the GTX+ trim is the sporty trim, in Kia' books, it gets various red accents all around including red brake callipers. Moreover, we get sporty themed interiors with sporty leatherette seats, sporty alloy pedals, six airbags, ESC, VSM, HAC, brake assist, front parking sensors, auto IRVM, wireless charging, drive and traction modes, voice recognition etc. The GTX+ trim of the Sonet is offered with 1.0L turbo iMT/DCT and 1.5L diesel MT/AT.

Kia Sonet variants

Kia Motors India will soon launch the Sonet in the Indian market and the bookings are already open. Kia offers the Sonet with an array of exterior colour options including dual-tone colour options as well. The pricing of the Kia Sonet is expected to start from Rs 7 lakh and fetch up to Rs 13 lakh ex-showroom. All the variants of the Kia Sonet will be priced in line with its cousin - Hyundai Venue.
