In the recent developments, Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions announced a partnership with Aima Technology Group, a China-based electric vehicle brand. The two companies together will design and develop new electric vehicles for the Indian market. Under this partnership, the brands will be focusing on building up E2W business and increasing the total production capacity to over 5 lakh units a year in the next two years. Here are all the details about the upcoming Kinetic Green electric scooters in the Indian market.
For starters, the company plans to introduce at least three new Kinetic Green electric scooters by 2023. These will also include models from Aima that will be based on an advanced high-speed scooter platform. Aima currently exports a number of electric scooters from China in bulk. These scooters in the Aima's platform are priced from INR 30-40k. It is worth noting the fact that the upcoming Kinetic electric scooters will be made in India and Aima will assist Kinectic not only in designing and development but also in improving the production efficiency.

Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions first made its debut in the electric mobility scenes with the launch of a number of electric three-wheelers in India about four years ago. Aima will be helping Kinetic Green Energy in terms of modification and localization to help the products get evolved for the Indian buyers. The duo plans to build up production capacity to 5 lakh units a year. The Bangalore-based Kinectic Green launched two electric scooters in 2021 - Kinetic Zing and Kinetic Zoom.
The electric mobility is Indian is growing at a rapid pace and we saw a number of new comers competing in this space in last few years. While the rising fuel costs and increasing running costs were a major factor behind this, other initiatives by the government like the FAME II subsidy were also a major contributing factor in the ever growing popularity of the electric two-wheelers.
