Kinetic Luna Electric Scooter - All Details
Luna is a well-known moped scooter that took the Indian market ablaze. However, the brand slowly dissolved with the rapidly changing Indian market needs. Now, Kinetic Energy has confirmed that the Luna will return next month. A teaser image has also been shared that shows its front design. The new Luna will be an electric vehicle that will get a similar old-school moped design. The main aim is to stick with the user-friendly nature of the Luna name. The old Luna was renowned for its ruggedness and load-carrying abilities. With the news confirmation, Kinetic claims that the new Luna will also have similar abilities.
The design of the new Luna will look more or less the same as the old model. The teaser image shows the front design with a round halogen headlight, a headlight cowl, and halogen indicators. Moreover, Kinetic will price it somewhere around Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom). We're expecting that it'll get a small battery pack that could get a real-world range of around 100 km per charge. Additionally, it might not be a high-speed EV like the Ather 450X & Ola S1 Pro. Hence, the anticipation is that its top speed will be around 5060 kmph.
The key focus is not just on the Tier-1 markets but also the Tier-2 & Tier-3 markets for Kinetic. Similar to the old Luna, the upcoming EV has been designed keeping the needs of the rural market in mind. The pre-bookings for the scooter are already open at just Rs 500. Moreover, the official bookings are going to commence on January 26. The launch date has not been announced yet, but it'll launch in early February.
Verdict
The return of Luna name is definitely a good news for the rural market buyers. The sturdiness of the new Luna is expected to offer strong brand value and a reliable mechanism to customers. Tell us in the comments what you think about the new E-Luna scooter.
