KTM India ventured into the small-displacement adventure sports category earlier this year with the launch of the KTM 390 Adventure. The KTM 390 Adventure was truly one of the most anticipated bikes of 2020 and it did not disappoint anyone. The 390 Adventure is currently the only travel-enduro motorcycle from the Austrian manufacturer in India. However, now KTM is all set to launch its new quarter-litre adventure sport bike. We can assure you that the India launch of the KTM 250 Adventure is not too far away and it will be launched within this month.
Just a few weeks ago, we brought to you some exclusive pictures of the KTM 250 Adventure when it was on-test on the outskirts of Pune. The KTM 250 Adventure was revealed in November 2019 on the company's Indonesian website and back then, KTM officially disclosed all the details about this upcoming motorcycle. Initially, it was expected to be launched in April this year. But, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, the launch was delayed and now it is all set to be launched this month. The dealer briefing and internal meetings for the upcoming KTM 250 Adventure have already commenced.

Talking about the looks of the motorcycle, so the new 250 Adventure will be almost identical to its bigger sibling - KTM 390 Adventure. However, since it will be more affordable, it will miss out on a few premium features. The biggest differentiating factor between the 390 Adventure and the KTM 250 Adventure will be their front fascia. While the 390 Adventure gets all-LED headlamps with LED DRLs, the 250 Adventure will get only halogen bulbs with daytime running LEDs. Also, the 250 Adventure will be powered by a smaller-displacement engine and will miss out on traction control.
The KTM 250 Adventure will be powered by a BS6-compliant 248.8cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine. This motor will churn out around 30 PS of power at 9000 RPM and 24 Nm of peak torque at 7250 RPM. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 250 Adventure will get 43 mm upside-down (USD) front forks and a pre-load adjustable mono-shock absorber at the rear. It will get a 320 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear. It will get KTMs off-road ABS too. The motorcycle will ride on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tyre.
