MEML will provide its line of electric vehicles, such as the Treo and Alfa, to prospective clients in rural regions as a result of their partnership with CSC. These clients will benefit from the significant cost reductions offered by Mahindra Electric's 3-wheelers, which will help them improve their lives. For example, the Mahindra Treo electric vehicle can save up to 5 lakh in fuel costs over the course of five years when compared to a diesel three-wheeler, and up to 2 lakh over the course of five years when compared to a CNG three-wheeler. Similarly, when compared to a diesel cargo 3-wheeler, a Mahindra Treo Zor electric or e Alfa Cargo can save you up to Rs 60,000 each year.
As Mahindra Electric Mobility, works to promote the adoption of electric three-wheelers across the country, CSC, a government organization, works to create jobs in the country's rural areas. To ensure seamless functioning, CSC hires Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), who serve as a link between customers and OEMs. The VLEs raised awareness of government programmes in the villages, among other things.
CSCs serve 4.5 million people while VLEs across the country extend over 4.7 million people. CSC also launched the rural e-mobility programme last year to encourage electric vehicles and charging infrastructure.
