But, both these multi-purpose vehicles are good looking and have a well proportionate design. The XL6 has a more rugged and youthful design while the Marazzo has a traditional MPV~ish appeal. Both the Marazzo and the XL6 are offered in six different colour variants. The Marazzo gets Aqua Marine, Oceanic Black, Mariner Maroon, Shimmering Silver, Iceberg White, and Poseidon Purple colour schemes. Mahindra Marazzo vs Maruti XL6: Engine and Transmission
In the engine department, both these MPVs are a class apart. The Mahindra Marazzo is powered by a sole oil-burner only while the Nexa XL6 gets the option of gasoline only. First, let's have a look at the engine specifications:

The Marazzo is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. This diesel motor churns out 123 PS of power at 3500 RPM and 300 Nm of torque between 1750-2500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. Currently, the Marazzo is BS4-compliant and the updated BS6 model will be launched very soon. The BS6 Marazzo Diesel might also get a torque converter automatic gearbox and it will get a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine too in the near future.
Maruti Suzuki XL6, on the other hand, is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, K15B petrol engine. This naturally-aspirated petrol motor churns out 105 PS of power at 6000 RPM and 138 Nm of torque at 4400 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It also gets Maruti's new advanced Smart Hybrid technology that helps to improve the fuel-efficiency.
Mahindra Marazzo vs Maruti XL6: Interior and Features
Both these MPVs are fairly loaded with features and have a very spacious cabin. The Marazzo is available both as a seven-seater as well as an eight-seater option. While the Maruti XL6 gets a six-seater layout only. Both these MPVs get premium captain seats in the middle-row but the eight-seater Marazzo gets a bench in the middle-row. Both these MPVs get a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The safety features on these MPVs include ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, reverse parking sensors with a rear parking camera, cruise control and many more. It is worth mentioning that Marazzo is one of the safest MPVs in India with 4-Star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test.
Mahindra Marazzo vs Maruti Suzuki XL6: Price
The BS4-compliant Mahindra Marazzo was sold in India in four trim levels: M2, M4, M6 and M8 with prices starting at Rs. 9.99 lakhs and going all the way up to Rs. 14.76 lakhs. The BS6-compliant Maruti Suzuki XL6, on the other hand, is sold in just two variants: Zeta and Alpha and either of them are available with a manual gearbox as well as an automatic transmission. The Maruti XL6 is priced between Rs. 9.84 lakhs and Rs. 11.51 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi.
