Since its release, the Mahindra Scorpio N has gained enormous popularity. Depending on the variant chosen, the SUV has a waiting period ranging from one to two years. In a recent GNCAP crash test, the Scorpio N received a 5-Star safety rating. Additionally, the company has just begun shipping the Scorpio N Z4 model. The Scorpio N lineup's Z4 model is one of the most affordable options. Mahindra Scorpio N Z4 Vs Z8L - Powertrain
The SUV is equipped with a 2.2-liter mHawk turbo-diesel engine that produces a maximum torque of 400 Nm and 175 bhp of power. However, the same engine powers the Z4 variant produces 130 bhp of power in manual transmission.
Both models are also offered with a 2.0-liter petrol engine. The 2.0-liter mStallion petrol engine generates a maximum torque of 370 Nm (MT) and 380 Nm (AT) and 200 horsepower of power.
Mahindra Scorpio N Z4 vs Z8L - Exterior
On the exterior, the Z4 variant has 17-inch steel wheels with full wheel covers, black roof rails, a blacked-out lower bumper garnish, a silver grille garnish, LED taillamps, side steps, and turn indicators on the ORVM. Some elements are similar in both variants such as the ORVM mounted turn indicators, rear washer with wiper, and LED tail lamp.
With 18-inch alloy wheels, LED turn indicators, LED DRLs, fog lamps, a front and rear camera, a silver skid plate with chrome accents on the rear bumper, and a silver skid plate on the front bumper, the Z8L model adds some special features. The Z8 L variant's front grille has chrome highlights, whereas the Z4 has silver-colored embellishments.

Mahindra Scorpio N Z4 vs Z8L - Interior Features
The Z4 variant's feature list includes notable additions like a touchscreen infotainment display, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted audio controls, cruise control, a dual-tone interior, electrically adjustable ORVMs, rear AC vents with individual blower units, a rear wiper with washer, and more. Although the interior of the SUV is dual-toned like the top-spec trims, the leather treatment has been replaced with plastic accents. The door handles in the Z4 model are black inside, as opposed to the chrome door handles found on the upper trims.
On the other hand, the Z8L variant of the SUV has a piano black treatment on the power window panel and other important areas, and a leatherette seats and leather finish in place of plastic. The Z8L gets a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, Sony 12 speaker sound system push button start, wired & wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, electric sunroof, driver drowsiness detection, multiple airbags, front & rear parking camera, dual-zone automatic climate control and other premium features

Mahindra Scorpio N Z4 vs Z8L - Pricing
Mahindra Scorpio Z4 variant starts at Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 16.44 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand the Z8L variant starts at Rs 18.99 lakh & goes up to Rs 23.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Verdict: The Z4 model has a good number of features and is Rs 5 lakh less expensive than the Z8L variant. The Z4 model offers a lot of features, making it a good bargain. The Z8L model, however, comes fully equipped with all the bells and whistles if you don't want to sacrifice features or use aftermarket extras.
