Apart from the next generation Scorpio and XUV500, the TUV300 Plus is in line for launch. Here is our report on Mahindra TUV300 Plus Spied Testing
Mahindra looks to bring back the TUV300 twins after they were taken off the shelves after the BS6 norms kicked. Initially, they were supposed to be introduced in this year itself however pandemic induced delays meant that the project faced delays.
The twins are part of the vast SUV portfolio that Mahindra currently possesses. The TUV300 is a subcompact SUV that is sold along with other sub-4m SUVs such as the Bolero Power+ and the XUV300 while the TUV300 Plus is sold alongside the Scorpio and the XUV500.

The BS4 versions of the TUV300 came with a 1.5 litre 3 cylinder diesel engine that put out 85 BHP and 230 Nm. There was also an uprated 100 BHP and 240 Nm tune of the same engine offered on the highest trim of the TUV300. This particular tune was also there in the AMT variants of the TUV300.
The BS4 TUV300+ came with the 2.2 mHawk diesel engine that was also present on the Scorpio and the XUV500. In this application, it made 120 BHP and 280 Nm which were the same as the mid variants of the BS4 Scorpio. This engine is expected to continue into its BS6 guise as well.
The Mahindra TUV300 Plus Spied Testing also did reveal a few important details about the car. For the starters, the interior remains more or less similar to the BS4 variant. Although it is expected that the infotainment system is now supposed to support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
As far as the exterior is concerned there is an updated grille with six vertical slats, reworked front bumper with more angular fog lamp housing and wider central air inlet. The vertically positioned tail lamps and tailgate-mounted spare wheel are retained, as do the squared wheel arches. However, the puny alloys have been carried forward.

The BS6 TUV300 is expected to come with the 1.5 litre 4 cylinder diesel engine used in the XUV300. It is also expected to come with the 1.2 turbo petrol. Both engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual but it is yet to be seen if an automatic gearbox will be offered.
The BS6 TUV300 Plus is expected to be powered by the same 2.2 mHawk motor, although no mention of the power figures has been made yet. This engine will also be most likely offered with a 6-speed manual but again whether it will get a slushbox is a question that will be answered closer to the launch.
