After coming out as the best seller in the premium hatchback segment in 2022, Maruti is all set to keep the ball rolling in its favor. Maruti Suzuki India has upgraded its existing premium hatchback Maruti Baleno, Ertiga, and Maruti XL6 with new connectivity features. These feature updates will be available via an OTA(over-the-air) update for the existing customers while the new vehicles will be rolled out with them.
New Features On Maruti Baleno,XL6, And Ertiga
Now the Maruti Baleno, Ertiga, and XL6 are compatible with Wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. The new gen Baleno will be equipped with turn-by-turn navigation on the Heads-up Display( HUD). Although, Turn-By-Turn navigation is available on the Multi-Information Display (MID) of the Baleno, Ertiga, and XL6.
The XL6 and the Maruti Ertiga now come with premium acoustic turning Surround Sense powered by ARKAMYS. Customers can install the new updates via the smartphone+ or download them from Maruti Suzuki's official website. The new feature updates are rolled out to keep their line-up updated with the recent trends of the market.
A similar connectivity update was recently rolled out for the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Their new Maruti Grand Vitara SUV, launched in September 2022, rolls out with these features as standard. The top trims are offered with a 9-inch SmartPlay+ Pro touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity.
New Launches In 2023
Maruti unveiled the Fronx and the 5-door Jimny at the Auto Expo 2023. Both products surpassed 15000 bookings in a month, indicating to a shooting demand for Maruti SUVs. With waiting periods almost touching 10 months to a year for select models.
VERDICT- With the updates rolled out for existing customers as well, Maruti has displayed their determination in keeping the title of segment best-seller. The existing customers will be able to enjoy a more convenient drive and the turn-by-turn navigation on the HUD is a pretty handy feature to have. With the sound system upgraded and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, the multimedia experience will be a little more rich.
