Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) has announced that the Super Carry LCV has achieved the 1 lakh sales milestone in a matter of 5 years of its launch. It must be noted here that the Maruti Super Carry is the only model in its segment to offer 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engine options. Also, the Super Carry has been tailor-made for the Indian usage conditions and in the words of the manufacturer, it was "developed specifically for India, keeping in mind the unique requirements of Indian mini-truck customers."

It must be noted here that the nation's largest-selling passenger carmaker ventured into the commercial vehicle market back in 2016 with the Super Carry being its maiden offering. Ever since, the LCV has been widely accepted for its high power output, decent fuel efficiency, low maintenance and high storage capacity.

Super Carry has proven that mini-trucks can be powerful, comfortable to drive, easy to maintain and profitable for the owner and that is the reason why customers vouch for its quality. Maruti Super Carry Specifications
Powering the Maruti Super Carry is a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol unit that outputs a maximum power of 54kW@6000rpm a peak torque of 98Nm@3000rpm. The safety features that the Super Carry comes with include reverse parking sensors, seat belt reminder, a lockable glovebox, a mobile charging socket, and a light steering wheel for better manoeuvrability. The Light Commercial Vehicle offers a deck area that measures 2183mm in length and 1488mm in width along with a payload capacity of up to 740 kg. The mini-truck has a ground clearance of 175 mm, while suspension duties are courtesy of MacPherson struts at the front and a rigid axle with leaf springs at the rear.
The Maruti Super Carry is sold through the carmaker's commercial vehicle retail network with 335 dedicated dealerships spread across more than 237 cities in India. Along with Super Carry, the commercial channel also retails EECO Cargo and Tour Range (Tour H1, Tour S, Tour M and Tour V) of Maruti Suzuki cars.
