Maruti Suzuki has launched an all-new Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour-S taxi sedan for the Indian Car Market. It is based on the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Dzire currently on sale in India. It is offered in two engine options. Petrol and a CNG powertrain. Diesel is not available in any of the Maruti Suzuki products. The price ranges from Rs. 6.51-7.36 lakh ex-showroom
New Tour S Based On Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Features
The updated Tour S gets a fresh front facia from the current Dzire on sale.
An LED Tail-lamp set-up and a Tour-S badging is placed at the rear. The interior is equipped with tilt-adjustable steering, manual air conditioner with pollen -filter, front accessory socket, ISOFIX seat anchorages, and speed-sensing door locks. There are 3 color options, Arctic White, Silky Silver, and Midnight Black.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour S Engine:
The new Tour S is powered by a 1.2 liter K- series engine producing 88 bhp power with 113 Nm of peak torque. These figures see a drop when shifted to CNG mode. The engine on CNG generates 76 bhp with 98.5Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. There is no option for automatic with the Tour-S.
Safety
The Tour S is based on the Suzuki Heartect platform. Additionally, it comes equipped with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Dual airbags, Reverse Parking System, and a Speed Limiting System to name a few.
Mileage
Maruti claims a fuel-efficiency rating of 23.15 km/l for the petrol variant. The CNG variant returns an economy of 32.12 km/ kg. This makes it a whopping 21% more fuel efficient than the outgoing model, as claimed by the company.
VERDICT- The new Tour S has a lot to offer over the outgoing model. This gets an all-new styling of the Dzire currently on sale. It is now also more fuel efficient than the previous model. In a bid to keep the commercial customers happy, the mileage saw a 21% bump. The only downside is that no Diesel option is available. But, it is countered by the CNG powertrain, which returns a claimed mileage of 31.12 km/kg.
