Maruti Suzuki has finally taken the covers off its first electric vehicle offering the Maruti Suzuki eVitara at the Auto Expo Motor Show. The brand has showcased the production-spec version of the eVitara. The first Maruti EV will be launched later this year for the Indian market and the sales will start from mid of the year. Maruti Suzuki eVitara
Maruti Suzuki unveiled the eVX concept at the 2023 Auto Expo and the eVitara is the final production version of the eVX. This Maruti EV boasts a strong design language and is built on the brand's HEARTECT-e platform. At front, it gets a chunky bumper sleek LED headlamps, Y-shaped LED DRLs, and bumper-mounted fog lamps. The side profile gets prominent body cladding, rear door handles placed on the C-pillar, and 19-inch blacked-out aero alloy wheels. At the rear, the EV gets a chunky bumper and a three-element connected taillamp.
The eVitara measures, 4,257 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,635 mm in height. It boasts a wheelbase of 2,700 mm and a ground clearance of 180 mm.
On the inside, the Maruti eVitara gets a new two-spoke steering, a dual-tone interior, a dual-screen setup for the infotainment and the instrument console, automatic climate control, vertically mounted AC vents, wireless charging pad, a rotary drive mode selector, electric parking brake, ventilated seats among other features.
Maruti Suzuki eVitara Powertrain Options
The international spec model comes with two battery-pack options 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The smaller battery pack version features a 2WD drivetrain and the bigger battery pack version comes with both 2WD and 4WD options. The eVitara will be delivering over a claim range of 500km on a full battery charge.
