It seems like Maruti Suzuki is preparing to introduce the Swift Sport in the Indian market soon. Swift Sport was spotted in India, as we've previously reported. The Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport test mule has now been spotted again in plain sight. The fact that the test mule was seen with an ARAI vehicle makes it very evident that the car is currently undergoing emission testing. Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport
If we talk about the design, the general silhouette of the Swift sport will be similar to the normal model of the Swift offered in India. The exterior will receive visual updates to make the sport edition seem more enticing and aggressive. The front bumper and grille are the freshly designed element with some sharp characteristics, as shown in the spy photos. Below the front bumper, the car receives a black skid plate to improve the sporty aspect. A new bumper and faux carbon fibre skid plates are installed in the back, making a similar alteration. The rear also gets an integrated roof spoiler. The Swift Sport also features a twin exhaust system that is built into the rear bumper. The car has a dynamic and upscale rear appearance.
A redesigned alloy wheel design and larger-looking tyres are two further aesthetic improvements. The car's mechanicals and feature package will see the most significant changes. The Swift Sport, as seen in the images, receives a 360-degree camera and a radar that appears to be for ADAS functionality that is positioned below the front number plate recess. We can also anticipate the use of carbon fibre components with sporty black leather and red stitching to give the cabin a sporty appearance. The flat-bottom steering wheel will also have carbon fibre inlays for a dynamic driving experience. All four disc brakes are also included in the Sport version. A touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, ABS with EBD, multiple airbags, and other features will still be available.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport Engine Specifications
Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport employs a 1.4-liter Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine for the global market, which has a maximum output of 129 horsepower and 235 Nm of torque. There will be two types of transmissions available: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The next-generation Swift Sport is expected to employ mild hybrid technology for increased power output. This is where the Swift Sport will differ significantly from the Swift in terms of performance.
Verdict: The Swift Sport would make a superb sports-focused hatchback and will lock horns with the Hyundai i20 N Line. Like they did with the Baleno RS, the brand will be able to provide a sports-focused vehicle in their lineup. Although the brand hasn't yet made any announcements regarding the introduction of the Sport variant, we believe it will happen sometime in 2023.
