This will be the second hybrid product from the Italian marquee, after the Ghibli hybrid.
Maserati India has commenced the bookings for their first electrified SUV, the Levante GT Hybrid. Scheduled for launch in the second quarter of 2022 in India, Maserati has priced the hybrid SUV between Rs.1.45 crore to Rs.1.60 crore.
The Italian marquee claims that the Levante Hybrid is faster than a diesel model and lighter than a 6-cylinder-engine SUV. The SUV will continue to draw its power from a 2.0-liter Inline-4 engine attached to a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, mated to a ZF-8-speed automatic transmission. The power output is rated at 330 hp @ 5750 rpm, and 450 Nm of torque @ 2250 rpm.

The battery is placed at the rear of the SUV, which helps distribute its weight better. The Levante GT hybrid can reach 0-100 km/h in 6 seconds, with a top speed of 240 kmph (electronically-limited), and is good for mileage of 231-252 g/km, as per the WLTP cycle.
Aesthetically, the Maserati Levante GT hybrid will feature a unique metallic tri-color called Azzuro Astro. This custom color was developed by the brands customization program, called Maserati Fuoriserie. Being a hybrid car, the Levante GT Hybrid boasts several iconic design elements, all in shades of Blue. These elements are similar to the ones found in the Ghibli hybrid. The designs are visible on the air ducts, brake calipers, and on the C-pillar logo, The same shades are also visible on the interior embroidered on the seams of the seats. This helps it differentiate the hybrid SUV, from its petrol counterpart.

For entertainment, the Levante GT hybrid will come with the new Maserati Connect Program. This helps keep a tab on car health, and owners can also connect using their smartphones or smartwatches, or even via their personal home assistance like Amazon Alea or Google Home Assist.
Dimensionally, the Levante GT hybrid measures the same as its petrol variant. This means it is still 5005 mm long, 1981mm wide, and stands 1693 mm tall, with a wheelbase that measures 3004 mm long. Suspension duties are handled by a double-wishbone at the front, and multi-link suspension, with anti-roll bars at both ends.
