Mercedes EQC Vs Audi E-Tron Vs Jaguar I-Pace - Spec Comparison

We are talking big and expensive SUVs here from the top mass-market luxury carmakers. We don't have BMW in EV space as of now and it is shocking as they were the ones who created the i3 and i8, being one of the first luxury car makers to adopt EV revolution. Nonetheless, we still have three big luxury electric SUVs to compare and all three are coming to India as well. Audi showcased the E-Tron last year in India and it is expected to get launched this year.

Same is the case with the Mercedes EQC and it will also be launched sometime this year. However, there is no clue for the launch of Jaguar I-Pace as the carmaker hasn't given a final word for its launch. Today we will be doing Mercedes EQC Vs Audi E-Tron Vs Jaguar I-pace spec comparison. Let's see what's Great Britain' answer to lavish Germans!

Mercedes EQC looks the biggest among the three but the Audi E-Tron is the biggest here with the length of 4901mm whereas the Jaguar I-Pace is 4682mm long. Despite having a shorter length, Jaguar I-pace has the longest wheelbase here at 2990mm. Further dimensions you can see down in the table.

Needless to say, Jaguar I-Pace looks the best here with its sleek and flowing body lines, muscular haunches above the wheel arches and flush-fitting door handles. Jaguar I-Pace won hearts last year with awards like 2019 world car of the year, 2019 green car of the year and 2019 best design of the year. It was praised by everyone and seemed to be a successful attempt by the British carmaker in the EV space.

Audi E-Tron has sharp creases all around and it gives it a honed stance. The Matrix lights and the huge flat grille takes on the front and connected LED taillights at the rear profile to make it more appealing and different. The best piece of technology in the E-Tron is the cameras which replace the old side ORVMs. The cameras which are placed at the place of ORVMs shows the road view on the displays mounted on either of the front doors.

Mercedes EQC is the most bland-looking but that doesn't mean it looks boring, it just lacks the wow factor which the other two cars have. The front has a big grille with blue surrounds and LED headlights whereas the rear gets connected LED taillights. It sits between the GLC and GLE but that isn't the case when you see the price which will be an upward of Rs 1 crore in India.

We are talking about luxury here and there is no doubt that all the three cars are the perfect examples of sumptuousness. Talking about the EQC first, it continues with the popular Mercedes' twin huge screens which occupy the dashboard and the touchpad is placed down below. The MBUX system comes with voice commands, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, Mercedes Me and 3D navigation. The chrome pattern lines on the inside make it stand out from other Mercedes cars and some subtle blue elements on the interior make you realise for what you have paid that extra money!

Audi E-Tron looks the most futuristic here and the first attention-grabbing tech is the two screens placed on both the from doors and they are also touch-enabled by which you can adjust your field of the side view. There are a total of 5 crystal clear screens in the Audi E-Tron and 4 of them are touchscreens. That is crazy! Audi is famous for its virtual cockpit and the new MMI touchscreens replace the old rotary knob controller. The upper screen features all the connectivity features whereas the lower screen is used for AC controls.

Jaguar I-Pace doesn't excite the same way in interiors which it does on the exterior. It is a little bit conventional but really tech-laden. The touch pro duo system sits in the middle and it supports both Android Auto and Apple Car Play, so do both the other cars as well. The steering wheel gets touch-sensitive and adaptive control buttons for media, telephony and cruise control.
