MG Motor recently launched its third product for the Indian market, the Hector Plus. Now MG is rolling its sleeves to launch its fourth offering in the Indian market, the Gloster. The MG Gloster has been spied multiple times on Indian roads, but this time around, we have the exclusive images of the two new colours of the Gloster. The car was spotted in Halol, near MG's manufacturing facility.
The MG Gloster is a full-size SUV from the house of MG. To clear the air, it is essentially the rebadged counterpart of the Maxus D90. MG Motor showcased the Gloster at the 2020 Auto Expo and it grabbed eyeballs with its sheer size on the event. In pics, two MG Gloster SUVs have spied with new colours - one in Grey and one in Maroon Red colour. Both the cars seem to be the final products and none was spotted with any testing equipment.

Talking about the looks of the MG Gloster, the front sports a massive three-slat chrome grille with MG logo in the centre, flanked with LED headlights. To increase the masculine appeal of the SUV, we see high-set bonnet, flared wheel arches with body cladding and roof rails. The window line is finished in chrome which seems to be joining with the roof rails. We can also see chrome door handles and ingress supporting handles at the back. The rear profile of the Gloster seems sporty - thanks to LED taillights and quad exhaust ports.
The exteriors of the MG Gloster are massive and it is said to be the biggest car of its segment. In international markets, the Gloster competes with the likes of SUVs like Toyota LC Prado. In India, MG will use its sheer size and tech gizmos to take on the SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. The interiors of the MG Gloster, although not revealed, will sport a ton of features. Features like touchscreen infotainment with iSmart tech, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, electrically adjustable front seats are expected to be on offer.

Powering the MG Gloster will be a 2.0-litre in-house developed diesel engine. This oil-burner will churn out 218 PS of power and 480 Nm of peak torque. The engine will come mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and will also get a part-time 4WD system with a low range transfer case. Summing it up, the MG Gloster is inching towards its India launch and it is expected to hit MG dealerships this festive season. MG will price the Gloster competitively and we expect it to fall in Rs 30 - 35 lakh price bracket.
