The launch of the MG Hector Plus is around the corner and MG has started promoting the car as well. We covered the Hector Plus at the 2020 Auto Expo but MG didn't reveal the interiors at the event. As the Hector Plus has started reaching to the dealerships, some detailed interiors shots of the car have been leaked. Let's see what the new offering from MG offers.
The exteriors of the new MG Hector Plus are much improved and polished than that of the Hector. You will see less chrome all over and new LED DRLs with eye pattern. The front grille is broader than before and sports new chrome treatment. The LED DRLs now lacks the chrome strip which we see in the normal Hector. Coming to the side, it is identical to the normal Hector but as the Hector Plus comes with 2 more seats, the length has been increased.

The rear profile seems much better than the Hector, all thanks to the reflector which now has been given a miss on the Hector Plus. The LED taillights are also tweaked to make them sleeker and we also get faux twin exhaust ports. Moving to the interiors, you will notice some changes. The first change you will notice is the upholstery colour which is now light brown whereas the Hector gets a darker shade.
Talking about some other changes, you get captain chairs with individual armrests in the second row. MG will launch the 6-seater variant for now whereas the 7-seater variant will follow later. Looking at these pictures looks like MG has taken care of the third-row passengers as well. Even the last row gets AC vents, blower controls, USB charging port and cup holders. The third-row seats also get 3 point seatbelts and adjustable headrests.

The MG Hector Plus will be identical to the Hector in terms of mechanicals. We will see the same 1.5-litre turbo petrol with DCT and hybrid options and the same FCA sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine mated with 6-speed manual transmission. The pricing of the MG Hector Plus is expected to reveal this month and it will be around Rs 50,000 more expensive than the Hector.
