MG Motor India is all set to launch the ZS EV facelift on March 7 and in this article, we share with you the top five points that makes this electric SUV completely new from the older version. Upon its launch, MG ZS EV will directly lock horns with the Hyundai Kona. Let's share the details here!
Revamped Exterior Design
It is clear that with the facelifted version, the exteriors of the ZS EV are completely changed. It now borrows styling cues from the Astor and features an all-LED headlight design, tweaked front and rear bumpers, updated 17-inch alloy wheels and all-new LED tail lamps. Overall, the design of the ZS EV now feels upmarket and premium.

Redesigned Interior
The cabin layout of the MG ZS EV also gets quite a few changes. It features an all-new dashboard design, restyled air-con controls, rear centre armrest with storage, leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching and a lot more.
Features and Safety
The all-new ZS EV will now get a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It will also get a larger panoramic sunroof. Other features like push-button start/stop, cruise control, power-adjustable driver's seat, five USB ports, tilt-adjustable steering wheel with multi-function controls, power-folding ORVMs will continue as before.
Safety-wise, there's a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, blind-spot detection system, heated ORVMs and we do expect ADAS to come through with this updated ZS EV. Other safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control with hill launch assist, hill descent control, emergency stop signal, rear disc brake, speed-sensing door lock, high-speed alert system, rear parking sensors, front and rear seat belt reminder, ISOFIX child seat anchor points follows like before.
Larger Battery Pack and Updated Driving Range
This updated version of the MG ZS EV will be made available with a larger battery pack. The carmaker will provide a 50.3 kWh battery pack that is expected to produce more power and torque figures. The pre-lift version got a 44kWh battery pack that made only 141 bhp of power with a peak torque of 353 Nm. The ARAI certified range of this battery pack was 419 km and with the new and larger battery pack, we do expect a huge uprise in terms of the driving range of the ZS EV.

Price and Variant
MG ZS EV will be launched in a single top of the line Exclusive variant only. As of now, the Exclusive variant of the pre-lift version is priced at Rs 24.41 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. With the facelifted version, we do expect a slight rise over the current prices.
