Ather 450X Gen 3 New Variant Details
A few weeks ago Ola S1 Air was launched for Rs 79,000. With its launch, the S1 Air became the most affordable e-scooter from Ola. However, its rival Ather still does not have any variant in that price range. We reported earlier that Ather has been developing an affordable version of the 450X. Hence, the launch of it is suspected to take place on 7 January. Ather will be celebrating community day on this date. The company has already sent invites to its customers for the community day celebrations.
Meanwhile, the Indian Auto Expo 2023 will also commence just a few days after Ather's a community event. Hence, the company might be focusing to attain attention before any of its rivals surprise launch a product. Additionally, the presence of the Ather brand in the budget EV category is still missing. While Ola has already stepped up in this segment, the launch of an affordable variant is much needed now.
Verdict
The current Ather 450X is offered in two variants - 450 Plus & 450X. Its prices range between Rs 1.36 - 1.58 lakh ex-showroom. There are also rumors that Ather will soon be introducing swappable batteries on its e-scooter. However, that time is still far as we know that Ather takes its sweet time before launching anything new. Some other rivals of Ather include - TVS iQube & Bajaj Chetak.
