MotoGP India Comeback In 2025 - What To Expect?
As per the latest agreement signed between the UP government and Dorna, the BharatGP will return in 2025. It is a 3-year agreement that has the possibility of extension up to 5 years. Not long ago, Dorna refused to organize the BharatGP for this year. The internet immediately became overloaded with the anticipation of riders getting fatigued due to the climate conditions. However, this was only half of the story as the dues were not paid on time to the Dorna by the Indian organizers. As a result, the 2024 BharatGP was cancelled.
The news of the 3-year agreement was confirmed by Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary as well as Infra & Industrial Development commissioner. He said, " Bringing MotoGP to Uttar Pradesh not only elevates our state on the global sports stage but also catalyses substantial economic growth across tourism, hospitality, and associated sectors. This event will magnetise visitors worldwide, spotlighting Uttar Pradesh's prowess in hosting world-class sporting extravaganzas."
So, why is the UP government involved so dedicatedly? Well, the most expected reason is that the UP government wants to showcase to the world that it is a good place to invest in future businesses. Moreover, the presence of an international motorsports event curates better employment opportunities for the locals, and lastly, the image of the state government is also enhanced by organizing international events. Hence, an investment of Rs 150 crores seems right to do as per the officials.

Verdict
Last year's MotoGP in India turned out to be a medicore event. The organizers were bashed for modest arrangements for the audience, whilst the riders and teams were unhappy with the extremely hot conditions of the race. Adding the final nail to the coffin, were the unpaid dues by the organizers. Therefore, a decision of abondning the IndianGP was made internally. Now, the confirmation of 2025 return of the GP is hopeful for the Indian fans.
