New Electric Scooter On The Block

The EV revolution in the country can only begin with two-wheelers. As of now, there are 50 options to choose from, including e-bikes and e-scooters, with Ola, TVS, and Ather leading the segment. In this ecosystem, a new brand has also emerged called Jitendra EV. Founded in 2016, their name has recently gained visibility in the market.

As of now, Jitendra EV offers two series of e-scooters: the JMT and Primo series. Based on the spy shots, they appear to be developing a more premium scooter that customers can take pride in. The design is quintessentially Italian, featuring circular headlights and a wide body with curves.

The spy shots reveal that the front wheels feature 12-inch alloys with disc brakes. Additionally, the side indicators have a leaf-like design that adds charm to the front. In the center, there is a thick chrome strip that looks beautiful even on these test mules.

Talking about the rear, this scooter boasts hexagon-shaped LED tail lights. The blinkers aren't visible, so there is a possibility that the turn indicators will also be integrated into the main light.

Verdict

Another day, another two-wheeler EV news. The market is being flooded with these electric scooters, but there are a lot of issues simultaneously occurring within the segment. Take the case of Ola: thousands of complaints and service centers refusing to help desperate customers. News like this raises many questions in the minds of potential new buyers, who want to save money with an EV but are concerned about how unreliable and fragile they are at this stage. Automakers need to pull up their socks and create truly wonderful products if they want to be part of the EV revolution.
