The Volkswagen Virtus will be the second product in the brand's line-up to be based on the new AQB A0-IN platform and will be replacing the VW Vento in the Indian line-up. The car is expected to launch in the first half of 2022 and will be competing against the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, and the upcoming Skoda Slavia. The car was recently spied testing in India and here are all the details that you should know about this upcoming Volkswagen sedan in India. The Virtus was spied testing in the hills and featured a heavy camouflage. On the exteriors, the car is expected to feature new LED headlamps, LED taillights, dual-tone alloy wheels, power-operated ORVMs, and request sensors on the front doors. On the design front, the VW Virtus will feature an elegant and subtle design while the built quality too will be better than the rivals.

Expected to be launched somewhere in mid-2022, the new Volkswagen Virtus will be offered with two engine options - 1.0-L TSI and 1.5-L TSI turbo-petrol engine. Both these engines not only boast a strong performance but in addition to this, also get impressive refinement levels and fuel economy figures. To further make the package practical, the German carmaker will be offering a manual as well as an automatic gearbox with both these engines. The brand is however yet to reveal the official power and torque figures for both these engines.
The VW Virtus will also boast an extremely spacious and comfortable cabin that will be offered with a long list of features and equipment. To begin with, the car is expected to get a large touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, steering mounted controls, wireless charging, auto climate control, etc. A sunroof may also be on offer with the vehicle.
