Triumph Motorcycles is one of the most popular premium two-wheeler manufacturers in the Indian market. This year even amidst the coronavirus pandemic, this Premium British two-wheeler manufacturer has launched several new motorcycles in the Indian market. Some of them are the new Tiger 900, Street Triple R, Street Triple RS, the mighty Rocket 3 GT and some more. But, Triumph fanboys rejoice as it seems that this was just the trailer and the full movie will be telecasted in 2021. According to a top company official, Triumph Motorcycles will be launching nine new motorcycles in India in the first half of 2021. Here, we have for you all the details about them.

Triumph has a lot of motorcycles in its Indian portfolio ranging from the roadsters to modern classics to adventure bikes and more. In fact, Triumph Motorcycles has the most comprehensive BS6-compliant fleet among other premium two-wheeler manufacturers in India. The two-wheeler maker has a total of 16 motorcycles (including all the variants) currently on sale in the country. Triumph Motorcycles Indian portfolio has been sub-divided into several categories. They are (i) Roadsters - Street Triple R, Street Triple RS, (ii) Adventure - Tiger 900, (iii) Modern Classics - Street Twin, Bonneville T100 Range, Bonneville T120 Range, Bonneville Speedmaster, and (iv) the mighty Triumph Rocket 3 GT. But now, Triumph is all-set for an aggressive start of 2021 with nine new motorcycles coming to India in the first half of the next year.

In a recent interview with ET Auto, Shoeb Farooq, Business Head, Triumph Motorcycles India, said, "We are planning to launch nine new models from January to June, which will include some special editions in our current product range. This will be for the first time that we will be adding special editions in our product portfolio here. And, of course, some of the current products will also go with the regular refresh. We are going to have a very very busy six months from January onwards and somewhere in June, we will have a completely new range and much larger portfolio to customers." He further added that despite the industry's de-growth, Triumph as a brand has done well. Thus, it clearly signifies that Triumph is very confident about expanding its market share in the premium motorcycle space of the country.

Talking about the upcoming nine models, so there isn't any confirmation as to which motorcycles Triumph will launch in India. However, we already know that two of them will be the all-new Triumph Trident 660 and the Tiger 850 Sport. While the Trident 660 will be a naked streetfighter and the company's most affordable motorcycle in India, the Tiger 850 Sport will be an adventure tourer and the company's most affordable ADV in the country. For the first time ever, Triumph will launch its special edition models too in the country and the refreshed and new version of some currently available motorcycles are also in the pipeline. The first all-new Triumph motorcycle to hit the Indian shores will be the Triumph Trident 660 and it is expected to be launched in India as early as next month in January 2021.

The official pre-launch bookings for the Triumph Trident 660 BS6 are now officially open in India and one can book it by paying a token amount of Rs. 50,000. The Trident 660 will be powered by an all-new BS6-compliant 660cc, liquid-cooled, in-line three-cylinder engine. This motor will churn out 81 PS of power at 10,250 RPM and 64 Nm of peak torque at 6,250 RPM. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Next in the line will be the new Tiger 850 Sport and it is expected to be launched by March 2021. Lastly, we would like to say that Triumph fanboys rejoice as exciting times are lying ahead.
