The compact SUV segment is rising every carmaker is bringing in their vehicle to taste the success of this trend. The Japanese carmaker, Nissan too is looking forward to this segment with its upcoming compact SUV, Magnite and just recently its colour options have been revealed before its official launch.

This compact SUV will come with a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine which is expected to make 100 PS with 160 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and an optional CVT will also be present. The latter is surely the first in segment among the rivals.

Sharing details on the colour options then this SUV will be available in eight colour options - five monotone and three dual-tone units. Those include - Strom White, Onyx Black, Sandstone Brown, Blade Silver, Flare Garnet Red. The dual-tone sticks with Flare Garnet Red with Onyx Black, Pearl White with Onyx Black and Vivid Blue with Strom White.
Feature-wise, the SUV will get LED headlights, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a bigger touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, rear AC vents, rear seat armrest and mobile holder and an around-view monitor.

Safety features on this upcoming SUV include dual airbags, the anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, hill start assist, vehicle dynamic control, traction control, speed-sensing door lock, high-speed alert system, rear parking sensor, front seat belt remind and among others.
The Magnite will be cheaper to run too as Nissan claims it gets a fuel economy of 20 km/l which is good for a compact SUV. There is no update as to when the SUV will be launched but it is expected to happen around the festive season. Once launched, it rivals with Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford Ecosport.
