Nissan unveiled the global concept of the upcoming Magnite compact-SUV and it left all of us stunned. The proportions of the Magnite concept were crisp and very crossover-esque. The India launch of the Nissan Magnite will happen this financial year and the production form of the SUV has already been spotted. In the picture, the Magnite highly resembles the concept shown and we tall what may get changed!
What has changed in the transition
The grille of the spotted car is similar to what we saw in the concept but it lacks the red accent from the concept form. The spotted Nissan Magnite here seems to be the mid-spec trim as it lacks the LED headlights and L-shaped LED DRLs. The headlights seem to be halogen instead of LEDs whereas chrome sits on the place of the DRLs. The production form of the Magnote will feature both LED headlights and LED DRls in the top trims.

Inspecting keenly also reveals that the front skid plate sees four indents instead of three on the concept form. The skid plate is also much flatter and smaller than what we saw with the concept. We also expect a similar skid plate at the rear bumper as well. One more thing which won't be carried to the production form is the massive off-road tyres. The car spotted seems to be running on normal road-going tyres which will be the case for sure.
What We Know So Far
Nissan didn't reveal the interiors of the upcoming Magnite but expect it to offer digital instrument cluster, centrally mounted touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple Car Play and Nissan Connect; automatic climate control, 360-degree parking camera with bird's eye view, electric sunroof, cruise control and other comfort features. Nissan won't leave any stones unturned to give their best at an affordable price.
The 2020 Nissan Magnite is expected to come with two engine options in India - 1.0-litre naturally-aspired and turbocharched engines. The turbocharged petrol engine will be given to top trims and it is expected to produce 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque. The naturally aspirated engine will be carried over from he Triber and it will produce similar 72PS and 96 Nm of torque. Both the engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual and top variants will also get the option of a CVT.

Nissan is going to price the upcoming Magnite very competitively. The Magnite is going to decide the fate of Nissan in India and other developing countries as well. We expect Nissan to price it from Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 8 lakh ex-showroom. It will share its platform and powertrain from its French cousin - Renault Kiger. The Magnite will rival other compact SUVs like Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford Ecosport.
