Yes, that isn't a click bait title - Nissan indeed has made it official that their upcoming sub 4m compact SUV will be offered in as many as 20 different variants. That still doesn't beat the Tata Nexon's extensive list of 36 trims on offer! Back to this new Japanese SUV, while launch is slated for next month, here is a quick look and understanding of the different Nissan Magnite variants on offer.

Along with revealing different grades of the Magnite, Nissan has also commenced production of the car at their Oragadam plant (Chennai). The car will only be offered with a 1.0-litre petrol unit with both naturally aspirated and turbo-charged state of tunes. The same turbo unit will soon be launched in the Renault Triber as well.
As you can see, there are four main grades of XE, XL, XV upper and XV premium grades. While the non turbo B4D petrol will only be offered with a 5 speed manual gearbox, CVT automatic will be optional with the HRA0 turbo unit making it the only compact SUV in the market to do so. In terms of features on offer in various Nissan Magnite variants, here is what has been shared with us
- XE (Base) comes with standard 16-inch wheels, skid plates, functional roof rails, 3.5-inch LCD cluster, all-power windows and dual tone interiors for a true entry into the SUV experience
- XL (Mid) comes with 6 speakers for integrated audio, steering wheel audio control, automatic AC and electrically adjustable & foldable outside mirrors for a comfortable upgrade
- XV (High) revamps the technological experience with 16-inch diamond cut alloys, LED daytime running lamps (DRL) and foglamps, 8-inch floating touch screen (with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), 7-inch TFT meter, voice recognition, rear-view camera and push-button start
- XV (Premium) is packed with technologies such as the LED bi-projector headlamps, Cruise Control, 360-degree Around View Monitor, tire pressure monitor and full sporty interiors
- Nissans optional Tech Pack includes wireless charger, air purifier, ambient mood lighting, puddle lamps and high-end speakers from JBL.
In terms of pricing, the non turbo 1000cc engine will help Nissan launch the Magnite will aggresive pricing of about Rs 6-6.5 lakh.
