A few days back we brought you spy shots of the upcoming Nissan Magnite, the B-SUV to target the likes of Maruti Brezza and Hyundai Venue types. Currently, Nissan only has Kicks for the mass market and with the diesel engine being discontinued, sales are not that good. So to improve its market share, Nissan will reveal the sub-compact SUV, Magnite on October 21.
We expect that after the reveal of Magnite on October 21, Nissan will soon launch the sub-compact SUV by the end of this year, sometime in November. Earlier, the same was speculated to launch in early 2021 but with the leaked spy shot in its clear avatar and the unveil date so close, the launch of the Magnite is not that far.
As of now, we are sure that the Magnite will be powered by the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This one is expected to make 98 bhp with 160 Nm of peak torque. This turbo will rival with the mid and top-spec variants of the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet.

There are also reports suggesting that to keep the costs low, a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine will be offered too. This is the same engine as found in the 7-seater Renault Triber and makes as much as 72 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque.
Now, moving to the design and technology-rich features, Magnite is a looker and there are no second thoughts about it. If at all, Nissan brings the same model as we have seen in pictures, the Magnite will be a hot seller (if the prices are kept right).

Feature-wise, on the inside, it will get a larger touchscreen infotainment unit with modern connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It might also add the 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, electric sunroof, cruise control and more. However, these features will be reserved for high-end variants.
As of now, Nissan has only revealed info about the public appearance of the Magnite which will happen on October 21. That is just 12 days from today. Once launched, it will also take on the likes of Tata Nexon, Ford Ecosport, Mahindra XUV300 and Toyota Urban Cruiser.
