The Oben Rorr will be available in 7 states spanning India by Q2, 2022. You can pre-book the e-bike from `18th March onwards, for just Rs. 999.
Oben Electric has launched its debut e-bike, the Rorr. This is the first of the four e-bikes that the company is slated for launch over the next two years. Pre-bookings for the Rorr will start from March 19th onwards, the delivery date is yet to be revealed. Oben Electric is designing, developing, and manufacturing all four e-bikes here in India, so the Rorr is a completely made-in-India product.
Their debut e-bike promises to be fresh option in the electric-2W segment, starting with its neo-classic design. It is available in three colors - Voltaic Yellow, Electric Red, and Grey. The body design has been kept sleek and futuristic as well, especially with the battery design. The Rorr e-bike sits on an ARX frame, that Oben Electric believes aids in optimum weight distribution, thus making the bike super-agile and highly maneuverable.
We are aligned with the countrys electric mission and support the Governments initiatives to creating a sustainable clean-green mobility solution and bolstering the seamless transition from ICE to EVs. In line with the same vision, we also strongly believe that EVs can be made exciting and reliable. Speaking of performance, the Rorr can do a claimed 0-40 in just 3 seconds on to a top speed of 100 km/h. There are three riding modes as well - Eco ( 150 kms of range), City (120 kms), and Havoc (100 kms). The Rorr is powered by a 4.4 kWh battery that comes attached to a 10 kW motor - Oben claims that this entire design is so revolutionary, that they have patented it as well. The e-bike also gets an onboard charger as well, which they can use to charge anywhere so mobility becomes really easy. The Rorr charges 1 km/minute and takes 2 hrs to get fully charged and has ac claimed IDC range of 200 kms.
The Oben Rorr comes loaded with several connectivity and safety features. Starting off, the Oben App gives you a complete analysis of your bike, range, and, navigation. Some of the standout safety features include, Drivers alert, Combined Braking System, Geo-Tagging, Geo-fencing, Battery theft protection, and charging station locator. Oben Electric says the Rorr will also have several first-in-class gamification features to revolutionize the customers engagement experience in the segment.
Oben Electric will also provide 3 years of Motor Warranty, and 3 Years/80,000 kms of battery warranty, and 3 years of Roadside Assistance as well. Prices for the Oben Rorr start from Rs. 99,999 in Maharashtra, Rs. 1,02,999 in Delhi, Rs. 1,14,999 in Rajasthan, Rs. 1,04,999 in Gujrat, and Rs. 1,24,999 in Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. It will expand into the rest of India in the next of 5 years, with future exports plans as well.
