Due to the global Coronovirus pandemic, we are now going through a 21-day lockdown in our country which means every showroom, service station or any other retail outlet except shops of essential items are bound to be closed till 14th April. This will hit car and bike owners hard as they can't get their vehicle serviced, replace parts under warranty and can't use them either. To protect the interest of customers, many car manufacturers have announced free service and warranty extension due to coronavirus to a certain period by which customers can grant their vehicle's free services after the lockdown. We have prepared a list of all the Car and Bike companies who have announced extended warranty and free services.
Maruti Suzuki
For all the customers whose car's warranty or extended warranty lies between March 15th to April 30, the same will be extended further to June 30, 2020. Same is the case with free services - if your car's free service was scheduled to happen between March 15- April 30, Maruti Suzuki will extend the date and validity of your car's service to June 30. Maruti Suzuki Arena and Nexa dealerships will also offer 24x7 assistance to customers between this period.
Hyundai
Hyundai has also announced an extension of 2 months for free services, extended warranty validity and warranty extension due to coronavirus. All the free services and warranty schedules, that are supposed to get acclaimed between March 15- April 30, will be extended to May 30, 2020.

Tata Motors
Tata Motors has come up with one of the longest relief period for its customers. All the free services and warranty which are going to end between March 15 and May 31 will be extended to July 31, 2020. This extension includes free services, warranty period and extended warranty.
Honda Cars India
Honda Cars India has also announced a 30 day extension period after the lockdown for free service/ Warranty/ Extended Warranty/ Anytime Warranty which is falling in the period of lockdown.

Mahindra
The company has assured that scheduled maintenance services and warranty renewals will be honored despite validity expiration in this lockdown period. Toyota India
The Indian arm of the Japanese giant has also confirmed that they will assist their customers with warranty extension due to coronavirus. So if their warranty or extended warranty schedules are expiring during this lockdown, they need not worry. While no specific timelines have been mentioned, the screenshot from the tweet above does convey some information. Also, we are assuming that scheduled services can be delayed by the owners without facing any issues with warranty.
Volkswagen India
The German giant, Volkswagen has also announced some extensions in the service intervals and warranty periods. Cars covered under Standard Warranty, due to expire on or between 22nd March 2020 and 22nd May 2020, can avail repairs under warranty up to 31st July 2020. Car service packages which are due in March and April can be availed up to 31 July 2020. Customers can also buy extended warranty till 60 days of the expiry of standard warranty which has been expired between 22nd March 2020 and 15th April 2020.
Skoda Auto
Skoda India has also announced 30 days extension for all the services and warranty packages which expires between March and April. They can be availed in a period of 30 days after the national lockdown lifts off.
Audi India
German luxury carmaker, Audi India has announced 2 months extension for extended warranty and service plans. All the customers can avail this extension offer whose car's warranty or service has expired between March 15 and April 15, 2020. Balbir Singh Dhillion, Head of Audi India said, "We are facing unprecedented times; during moments like these, the last thing that our customers should be worried about is the service of their cars".
Ford India
Ford India has also announced service ad warranty extensions for all Ford cars. Customers can avail all warranty benefits till June 30, 2020, if their warranty has been expired in March or April 2020. Service benefits like free services have been extended to June 30, 2020. Three months of extension in buying the extended warranty has also been proposed. 24x7 Ford assistance and customer care service is all free of cost too.
TVS Motor Company
TVS has also announced free services for the bikes which were scheduled to happen between March 1- April 30 will be extended to June 30, 2020. Same is the case with a warranty which means bikes' warranty which will get expired between March 1- April 30 will be further extended to June 30, 2020. TVS also announced a similar extension for annual maintenance contracts.
Bajaj Auto
Bajaj Auto has announced service and warranty extensions for both 2-wheelers and commercial vehicles. For free warranty and extended warranty for bikes which are falling between March 20 and April 30, 2020, will be extended to May 31, 2020. The extension for commercial vehicles and Bajaj Qute has been extended for 2 months from April 30, 2020.
KTM India
KTM India has also come ahead and offered extension till June 30, 2020, for all the free services, warranty and extended warranty which will fall under March, April and May 2020. Customers will be able to get the benefit of free services and warranty period even if they get expired in the month of March, April and May 2020.
Yamaha
Yamaha has announced an extension of 60 days for free service and warranty of bikes which fall between March 15- April 15, 2020. This extension will include free service, warranty and extended warranty of all the bikes of Yamaha.
