- Ola Electric to launch a new scooter on 22 October
- Expected to be cheaper than the Ola S1 Scooter
- To boast lesser features than the Ola S1 to meet the pricing
The electric two-wheeler sector is becoming more competitive, therefore manufacturers are working on new releases and products for the market. One of those manufacturers is Ola Electric, whose Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters have had a significant impact on the electric two-wheeler market. The company is now prepared to introduce a brand-new, reasonably priced scooter to India this Diwali. Bhavish Aggarwal, the CEO of Ola Electric, tweeted the date, saying, "Our Diwali event will be on 22nd Oct. One of the biggest announcements ever from Ola. See you soon!".

Upcoming Ola Electric Scooter
In the e-scooter lineup of the company, the upcoming Ola electric scooter will be listed below the S1 scooter. The new e-scooter would reportedly cost around Rs 80,000 and have a similar or less powerful battery and specs to the S1 model. The S1 electric scooter now sells for Rs 99,999, so if the new scooter is kept at or below Rs 80,000, it will quickly become a popular offering from the company and fiercely compete with other electric scooters in the same price range.
When it comes to the Ola S1 electric scooter's specifications, it has a 3kWh battery pack and an 8.5 kW peak motor power. It takes 5 hours to charge from 0 to 100% and boasts an ARAI range of 141 km and a true stated range of 128 km. The S1 has a top speed of 95 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 5.9 seconds. It has three drive modes - Eco, Normal, and Sports-as well as reverse mode, a digital instrument panel with a touchscreen, Bluetooth, GPS, and other features.

We should expect the upcoming affordable scooter to have the same battery pack, even though it may not have some high-end features. At the same price point, the upcoming low-cost electric scooter from the brand will compete with models from Bounce Infinity, Okinawa, Hero Electric, and other manufacturers.
