Olectra electric truck has been launched in India for beginning the extensive road testing phase. The electric tipper claims up to 220 km of driving range.
The subsidiary part of the Megha Engineering and Infrastructures pvt. ltd.; Olectra electric truck has been launched for extensive road testing over the Indian roads. The new upcoming electric tipper will be the first of its kind in the segment as well as for the manufacturer.
With the growing speed of electric vehicles in all the segments globally, Olectra has stepped into the ocean of electric commercial vehicles in India. Whereas one would suggest that the segment is relatively new to India, Olectra has been manufacturing electric buses since 2015. With a well-known history among commercial fleets and electric technology, this will be the first venture of the company in the truck market.
Talking about the launched model, the 'Meghaetron' Olectra electric tipper is designed to complete a total distance of up to 220 kilometers on a single full charge. With a gradability of 25 percent, this upcoming electric tipper can easily climb up the steep slopes and the hairpin bends of the Indian subcontinent.

Olectra currently aims to extensively test these tippers with their payload capacity and wants to be sure-footed by the time of their official launch in the electric truck segment.
