Renault India has unveiled the Kiger Concept in the Indian market today - but in concept form ahead of production-spec debut. As Nissan is about to reveal the prices of the Magnite, Renault doesn't want to miss the limelight with the Kiger. The design of the concept model is very futuristic and striking and most of the elements are expected to be carried forward in the production-spec model.
On the front of the Kiger Concept, we see the sculpted bonnet which is accompanied by LED DRLs. The LED DRLs also double up as turn indicators and the strip seems to flow towards the centre-mounted Renault logo. The main headlights sit on the bumper which will get 3-pot LED design and the fog lamps are missing. Although the Magnite had chunky skid plates on the concept form, the Kiger doesn't have any visible skid plates but gets Renault branding on the lower side of the bumper.
Coming to the side profile, we get massive 19-inch alloy wheels - obviously not coming to the production model. However, the 210mm ground clearance sounds promising and may get offered in the final model. Moreover, we also get a floating roofline and the side profile is similar to the Magnite but the quarter-glass is absent. On to the rear, we get LED headlights which seem to be inspired from the Captur, however, twin centre-mounted exhaust may not make to the production version.

The exterior design of the Kiger seems very striking yet promising but we still have to wait for the production model. Renault has only shown the exteriors and the interiors are saved for a later date. Still, we expect it to come with an 8.0-inch infotainment system, digital driver's display, automatic climate control and more. Coming to the engine options of the Renault Kiger, it will come with the same 1.0-litre NA and turbo petrol engines we see with the Magnite.

While the NA engine will be carried over from the Triber in the same state of tune, the turbo petrol engine will offer 100PS and 160Nm of torque. The trannies on offer will be a 5-speed manual and 7-step CVT. The turbo petrol of the Magnite is the most fuel-efficient engine of the lot and that will be the case with the Kiger as well. Renault is expected to launch the Kiger in the early months of the year 2021 and it will rival Nissan Magnite and likes.
