After enhancing its rural presence through mobile workshops based on four-wheelers, Renault India's 'Workshop on Wheels-Lite' initiative introduced two-wheelers equipped to carry out minor service and repair work on any Renault India car.
Buoyed by the success of its 'Workshop on Wheels (WOW)' initiative that was introduced back in 2016 in a bid to provide Renault customers with a highly convenient car ownership experience in rural and far-flung places, Renault India has now come up with its new Workshop on Wheels-Lite program. Basically, the newly introduced Workshop on Wheels-Lite is a workshop based on a two-wheeler that has been equipped with all the tools and equipment that are required to carry out minor maintenance and repair operations on all the Renault vehicles.

The new initiative is in line with the robust growth Renault India has shown in establishing touchpoints across the country. With such initiatives, the carmaker now enjoys a deeper penetration into the market by offering its customers in Tier-3 markets a hassle-free vehicle maintenance experience. Unlike the 'Workshop on Whee's program that saw mobile workshops based on four-wheelers deployed in the rural areas, the new initiative makes use of specially prepared two-wheelers to carry out the maintenance and repair work. It must be noted that the mobile workshop can perform 90% of workshop operations including all maintenance services and repairs.
The Workshop on Wheels Lite will boost Renaults strong service network of over 530 touchpoints which now includes more than 250 (Workshop On Wheels) and (Workshop on Wheels Lite) locations across the country.

Of late, Renault India has been quite aggressive with pursuing a comprehensive strategy to enhance its presence in smaller towns and cities along with also bolstering its network in the rural area. In line with this ambition. Renault India earlier launched a special campaign, VISTAAR, wherein teams from authorized Renault India dealership recruited and trained over 630 specialised sales consultants called Resident Dealer Sales Executives to help the carmaker reach out to the car buyers in the rural markets. Renault has also recently partnered with CSC Grameen eStore, a subsidiary of CSC eGovernance Services India Limited (CSC-SPV). As part of this, Renault Indias leading product range is listed on the CSC Grameen eStore and made available to the potential customers in hinterlands through aspirational Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs).
Rural Float is yet another significant step to move closer to the customers in the remote areas and provide a Renault vehicle ownership experience. With Rural Float, Renault has been able to showcase the newly launched sub-four meter compact SUV, Renault KIGER to its potential customers in rural markets, engaging more than 23,000 customers in 233 towns across 13 states and facilitating 2700 test drives.
